About The Speaker

Dr. Perkins has a rich heritage in the Church of God with both grandfathers being ministers (T.A. Perkins and R.E. Worley). Born and raised in Lexington, KY, he attended the University of Kentucky for two years majoring in Civil Engineering. He is a graduate of Lee University (Cleveland, TN) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry/Counseling from the Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary (Cleveland, TN), and a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Carolina University (Winston-Salem, NC). In August 2022, Dr. Perkins was appointed as Administrative Bishop of Mississippi after previously serving as Administrative Bishop of Louisiana from 2018-2022 and the Midlands Region from 2014-2018. Dr. Perkins comes with over 41 years of ministry in the local church as a Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Lead Pastor in Mississippi, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Alabama. Dr. Perkins has served on numerous Church of God state and international boards and committees. He currently serves on the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home Board, the Board of Directors for Men and Women of Action, the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries Board, and as a member of the Church of God Global Board of Education. Dr. Perkins also serves as an Adjunct professor at Lee University. Dr. Perkins and his wife, Jean, have two married daughters. Lauren and her husband, Danny, Henderson are planting the City View Church of God in Santee, CA. Kayla (Robbie) Beck served as Children’s Pastor in Augusta, GA, Athens, GA, and is currently working from home and writing her second book. They have been blessed with four wonderful grandchildren: Brooklyn Henderson, Audrey Henderson, Andy Beck, and River Beck.

About The Speaker

Bishop Dr. R. C. Hugh Nelson is a man of God committed to a ministry of restoration that reaches beyond the sanctuary, to uplift those most in need. He was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica, the third of five children to the late Rev. Vernon N. Nelson and Eva Nelson. He migrated to London, England in 1982 and shortly after pursued undergraduate studies in Theology at the European Bible Seminary in Rudersburg, Germany and Biblical Archaeological studies in Jerusalem, Israel. He later earned a Masters in Divinity degree at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee, Advanced Certification in Community Service Chaplaincy and Advanced Certification in Clinical Pastoral Education at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and Master’s degree in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Fordham University, NY. Bishop Nelson also completed his Doctor in Ministry degree at the New York Theological Seminary. Bishop Nelson presently serves as Senior Pastor for the Church of God of East Flatbush, District Administrative Bishop for District #2, New York State Care Ministry Coordinator, President for Hope Center Development Corporation Inc. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for One Brooklyn Health System Inc., and 2nd Vice president to the NYPD 67th Precinct Clergy Council. He serves on several International Boards such as the Church of God Spirit Care Board, People For Care & Learning, Freedom Outreach International Ministries and the European Theological Seminary Board of Directors, Kniebis, Germany. Bishop Nelson also provides spiritual covering to the pastors and staff of Set The Captives Free Outreach Center in Windsor Mill, MD. In 2022 Dr. R.C. Hugh Nelson was elected to the Church of God Council of 18 at the 78th International General Assembly in San Antonio, Texas. Bishop Nelson is a visionary whose guidance and focus on Church and community development enabled the Church of God of East Flatbush to evolve from a single cell church model into a vibrant urban ministry center that is home to more than 1700 members. In 2011 Bishop Nelson led his congregation in the purchase of two city blocks for the development of the Ebenezer Plaza which will provide a 43,000 square feet Urban Ministry Center and 530 affordable apartments. In recognition of Bishop Nelson’s outstanding contribution to community development and transformation, he received the New York United Hospital Fund Distinguished Trustee Award in 2009, The Brookdale Hospital Medal and Plaque in 2011, New York State Council of Churches Award for Excellence in Affordable Housing and Sustainable Community Development Award in 2021 and several other community awards. Bishop Nelson has been happily married to Rev. Diana Nelson for 37 years and they are proud of their three children: Raphael Nelson Jr., (Janissia) Andrae (Ayisha) and Sigourney.

About The Speaker

Tony D. Stewart was elected as an assistant general overseer to the International Executive Committee of the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee, at the 78 th General Assembly, in San Antonio, Texas, in 2022. Previously, he served for four years as the lead chair of the Church of God International Executive Council. He previously served for ten years on the Church of God World Missions Board of Directors. Raised in the home of a Church of God pastor, he and his wife, Kaci, have pastored City Life Church, Tampa, Florida for almost 17 years. City Life is a multi-generational congregation who worship in three locations. They have two daughters, Bayli and Hadley.

Dr. Rae Casteel Orozco has served in pastoral ministry for over 35 years, led three dynamic multi-ethnic and intergenerational churches, overseen church plants in the US, Mexico, and Africa, and served as mentor and consultant to pastors, churches, and organizations internationally. Her animated and accessible exposition of Biblical principles, leads her to travel world-wide, expounding on authentic faith, the power of the Holy Spirit, multi-culturalism, and women in positional ministry. She has spoken at the All Nations Chapel at the United Nations in New York and was presented with the Woman of Influence award for her tireless work in the city of Tucson. Author of “He Had to Go There: The Multi-Cultural Mandate”, Pastor Rae has received a Doctor of Theology from LifePoint Christian University, is an ordained minister in the Church of God, a certified Community Chaplain, and appointed as a COG National Evangelist and pastoral coach.

Her animated and accessible exposition of Biblical principles, leads her to travel world-wide, expounding on authentic faith, the power of the Holy Spirit, multi-culturalism, and women in positional ministry. Known to most as, Pastor Rae, she has served in pastoral ministry for over 40 years, led two dynamic multi-ethnic and intergenerational churches, overseen church plants in the US, Mexico, and Africa, and served as mentor and consultant to pastors, churches, and organizations internationally. She has spoken at the All Nations Chapel at the United Nations in New York and was presented with the Woman of Influence award for her tireless work in the city of Tucson. Author of “He Had to Go There: The Multi-Cultural Mandate”, Pastor Rae has received a Doctorate of Theology from LifePoint Christian University, is an ordained minister in the Church of God, and serves on the boards of the COG Division of Care, the Practitioners Consultation at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, the President’s Roundtable for LifePoint Christian University, and as a Lead Pastor’s Coach for COG’s Church Health and Revitalization Department. As well, she is a certified Community Chaplain and was recently appointed as a Church of God National Evangelist. She is the proud mother of three home-grown children and spiritual mother to many faith-grown sons and daughters, who represent the rich diversity and complexion of Christ’s Kingdom.
