A Vote of Thanks from the Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary Center for African Descent Studies
We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who made the Black History Celebration at the Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary Center for African Descent Studies (CADS) a resounding success. In partnership with the African Descent Council and the Intercultural Ministries Department, we came together to honor and celebrate the rich heritage and contributions of the African American community.
The event was a true testament to the power of unity and collaboration. As Dr. Eric Williams aptly stated, "No person has accomplished much until they have blessed their own origin (culture)." Through our collective efforts, we were able to shine a light on the achievements and resilience of the African American community.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who played a part in making this celebration possible. Special thanks to the Church of God Executive Committee, PTS President Dr. Mike Baker, PTS Staff, President of Lee University Dr. Mark Walker, Dr. Gloria Scott Richmond and the Lee University Evangelistic Singers, Dr. J Anthony Taylor and (Praise) Greater Community COGIC, Dr. Kenneth and Janice Hill, the African Descent and CADS Boards, Dr. Clifton Clarke, Director of CADS, Dr. William Turner PTS Chapel Speaker, Dr. Eric Williams Luncheon Speaker, Bishop Jonathan Ziegler, our evening service speaker, Intercultural Ministries Staff and Board, and all our friends and guests.
Your support and participation were instrumental in making this event a memorable and impactful one. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together and celebrate the diversity and richness of our community. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to promoting unity and understanding among all cultures.
Stay tuned for more events and initiatives from the Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary Center for African Descent Studies as we continue to celebrate and honor the contributions of the African American community.
